The Revenant

The Revenant is a most succesful 2015 American survival western movie directed, co-produced and co-written by Alejandro G. Iñárritu. The screenplay by Iñárritu and Mark L. Smith is based partially on archangel Punke's novel of identical name, inspired by the experiences of mountain man Hugh Glass in 1823, in what is now Montana and SD. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Glass, and co-stars Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson and Will Poulter. The film follows Glass's quest for revenge after one of his own men let him down, murder his son, and leaves.
 when producer Akiva Goldsman purchased Punke's manuscript in August 2001 then development began.. Iñárritu signed on to direct in August 2011, and in April 2014, after many delays due to different comes, Iñárritu confirmed that he was beginning work on The Revenant and that Leo would play the main role. The photography began in October 2014; issues with location and crew delayed the film from could to August 2015.

The Revenant premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, on December sixteen, 2015, and had a limited unharness on Gregorian calendar month twenty five, 2015, followed by a wide release on Gregorian calendar month eight, 2016. It received positive reviews, mostly for its performances, direction and cinematography. The Revenant Receives three Golden Globe Awards, five BAFTA Awards, and at the 88th Academy Awards, Iñárritu, DiCaprio and Emmanuel Lubezki won the awards for Best Director, Best Actor and Best Cinematography, respectively. DiCaprio also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion image Drama, the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, the Critics' Choice picture Award for Best Actor and the BAFTA Award for Best Leading Actor.
In 1823, Hugh Glass acts as a guide for Captain Andrew Henry’s party of trappers through unorganized U.S. territory (later the Dakotas). While he and his half-Pawnee son Hawk are searching, the rest of the corporate is ambushed by a hostile Arikara war party, with the survivors was being forcefully to abandon the beaver pelts which  they’d collected.
